My exhaust rattle.

I bought a 2008 G37s Coupe a few months ago and noticed there is an annoying rattle in the right exhaust pipe. It almost sounds like there's a rock or something in it just bouncing around. I heard this is a known issue and was wondering if the dealership will take care if it. I'm not sure if my car is still under warranty. I have 65,000 miles on it.

I also found someone posting this:
"
FE08-002 ITB08-023 May 8, 2008
2008 G37; RATTLE IN MAIN MUFFLER
APPLIED VEHICLE: 2008 G37 (CV36)
APPLIED VIN: Vehicles built before JNKCV64E(*)8 120021
APPLIED DATE: Vehicles built before 29-Jan-2008
IF YOU CONFIRM:
There is a rattle sound coming from inside the main (rear) muffler assembly.
ACTION:
Replace the muffler assembly with the one listed in the Parts Information section of this bulletin.
Reference the Electronic Service Manual for installation instructions."

it looks like you're over your 60k 5 yr warranty. Might want to check and see if there was an extended warranty on the car b4 you purchased it.

Otherwise go into the dealership and if you're lucky they'll replace it anyways. They know its a well known defect.

Unless you went to the dealership and documented the issue before 60K mikes, it's not likely that they'll replace it under warranty coverage. At least that was my experience at about the same mileage with a different issue. You can ask. The worst they can do is say no, maybe you'll get luckier than I did.
