CATs question

Hello all. Just picked up a 13 Sport in Florida. I mentioned a peculiar sound to the dealership and they said the inspection didn’t reveal anything. I took it to Sanford Infiniti and they say one of the cats needs to be replaced. I’m looking for suggestions please

M37 or M56? M56 has 4 cats, while the M37 has 2. You're in Florida so why not just get test pipes and keep the rest of the exhaust stock? Will have better flow but will still be quiet if you keep the stock mufflers.

It’s a 37. That was what I first thought. Just don’t know if there’s a benefit or if it’s worth it. I would assume they cost less than cats

Would cost cheaper, and you'd get more power due to a less restrictive exhaust flow path. Again, if you don't want it loud, just keep the rest of the exhaust stock and keep the mufflers on.

Seems one of the upper cats on the M56 have become clogged. Suppose now we have a reason to remove all the cats and let the engine breathe more. Just the upper cats will be difficult to remove. I wonder if a test pipe is available for the M56.
