Engine Oil

What do you guys use for engine oil? I heard Euro Spec Castrol is pretty good for these engines? Can anyone confirm that? Or does anyone have any better suggestions? Does anyone run Nissan oil? If so, who makes it? (typically its made my a larger oil manufacturer, not Nissan)

Welcome to the forum. You're relatively new here, so to spare you the usual rant about searching and not making new threads, I'll just say that you can (usually) find a thread dedicated to exactly what you're looking for by using the search function.

The oil question has been hashed out to oblivion, the most popular brand (we voted) would be Mobil1, I believe, full synthetic.

Here's the thread and poll I'm referring to.

Thanks on multiple fronts. I'm not new to forums, I know about the search function... so... bad on me.

I'm also trying to figure out the similarities between the G and M... so I know what to ignore and what to pay attention to. Any chance someone has made a comparison chart or write-up?

I'm going to try and run through the forum to see all the old posts I missed. Hopefully I won't ask any more dumb questions.

We don't get terribly many M owners here, rather, we don't have many *vocal* M owners here. If I had to guess, I would say your motor, exhaust, brakes, and intakes are compatible with a normal G37 sedan.

I wouldn't expect any body kits, or lips for a G37 sedan to fit on an M, nor am I comfortable saying coilovers for a sedan would fit an M. Does your M have that HICAS derivative goofy all wheel steering?

My M, does NOT have the HICAS steering. I would agree with you on body kits, I think they are difference since the M is overall a larger car.
