M35 6MT Swap?!

I know this sounds ludacris, but has anyone ever thought/done swapping a G35 6MT in an M35? I know, crazy mods means a lot of money... But hey, it might be cool.

don't m35's have the v8 engine? If so its probably very unlikely that the V6 6mt from the G37 will bolt up to the v8 engine. Would be a sick idea though, having a 6mt m35!

I'm sure something can be hacked. Vinnytenracing.com's M35 twin turbo is still a 5AT but it's something VIP and different to drive

Did some research, the M35 has the VQ35DE, same as the G35. All you need is a tranny swap, clutch pedal transplant, cpu reprogramming ($10K+), and viola, M35 6MT... I could only see this with the twin turbo setup that da mayor was talking about to really get your money's worth (M5 killer!).

Correction: The ~08 M35 has the VQ35DE which is from first generation G coupe/sedan. The 07+ G35 sedans have the VQ35HR motor which is very similar to the VQ37HR motor that in G37 Coupe.

You're right about the 07+ G's, but the 03 to 07 G35s have the VQ35DE motor. Fabrication would be hell though.

Not that fast......sounds lame IMO. If you want a six speed get a coupe, not a big M.

and the 2009-2010 M35's have the VQ35HR motors now....rwd M's have the 7AT's like the M35x AWD 's have the 5AT from the G35 sedans.

and vinny ten racing's M35 JWT Twin turbo V6 ran 13.0 on a stock block and 8psi.... i would love to see him do a 6mt swap for the better gearing.

with enough $, anything is possible. now is it practical? not to me, sounds like a waste of time and $ for just a wow factor.
