Sorry if this isn’t the right place to post this, but I have a bunch of parts for an 08+ G37 sedan/coupe (Stillen exhaust [Sedan], Vossen 085 staggered wheels, KW v03 coils, Stillen intake) and I’m curious how much (if any) of the items would fit an EX35. I thought they shared a platform with the G37 Sedan, but I’m not sure about stuff like exhaust and coil overs. My dream is to make a badass slammed EX35 wagon. I love the euro wagons and always wanted one and EX35’s can be found really cheap. The alternative is to sell it all and put the G37 era behind me.

Anyone know how feasible this is?

 

I think you'll find more similarities in drive train components than in suspension components as, along with the hatch, the suspension difference is kind of the point of the EX

The front suspension components should have the same mounting points at the awd Sedan/coupe but the rear setup is like the convertable g37...if you have coilovers from a RWD 37 it won't work

the stagger on the wheels doesn't really matter as long as you are running the right tires...clearance with be determined by your ride height brakes etc.

The exhaust might actually work but from what i can tell its more similar to the G coupe exhaust but may require some modification such as lengthening the midpipe

 

It depends. I have an 2013 EX37 and had a 2013 G and can tell you that the coupe exhaust will fit with very minor mods, but a sedan will not. The wheels will likely fit, but it depends on which calipers you have on your G. Suspension is different. Intakes are identical.

Why do you want to put g37 coupe exhaust on? I don't know if it's just me, but when I bought a 370z exhaust to put on my 17 qx50, I learned that they were identical. So I hacked up the 370z exhaust that I bought for 20 and it's a part of my custom exhaust.

That exhaust is long replaced. It became restrictive for high end power. But for low end torque/power around town, that thing cannot be beat. I kind of want to try a hybrid exhaust where it stays stock up until 3K rpms. None of the aftermarket exhausts have the low end torque that factory exhausts have.

 

Sizing has a lot to do with it, being that it's an SUV you should try to incorporate a 3 in single with a long resonator into the coupe exhaust or even a Nismo if you can find one.

 

Hmm you mean do a single 3" that splits into 2 right before the stock box at the end (coupe muffler) and goes inside? And have the cutout branch from the 3" before the muff right? That's not a bad layout...

 

So a single right past the Y like the V35 and have it split to the dual entry of the EX/Coupe/Nismo muffler. The dual oem setup is great at maximizing flow and keep the sound low by splitting however it restricts. Removing the resonators would just not sound that good.
A single MIDDLE would keep the gasses flowing as well as give you options as far as resonator. Lastly the OEM muffler has a lot of potential just needs to be paired right.

You are right, the OEM setup is really good at maximizing flow even with such skinny pipes. You should have seen the stock 1.75" duals that led into the rear muffler (even skinnier than the G37 - i'm guessing because it's longer and they wanted to keep gas flow fast). I'm surprised those allowed the engine to make power at the higher rpms but it still did.
