Isn't it the front camera for the new Around View Monitor (AVM)?

No, not to me at least. I think it has the lines similiar to an FX, but with the bulbous hood and headlight assembly of the 07 Sedan.

I don't like this shape so that is why I think that concept is much better looking with shorter hood and higher suspension

Honestly though man, it's pretty damn hard to compare this one picture to the pictures that were released at the NYIAS. You are looking at one single angled pic that is covered in camo compared to several you've seen previously of the concept. From what little I can tell, it looks pretty much identical to the concept pics.

Well, I'm not surprised that it is smaller than the FX as it was supposed to be. I'm guessing it will be around the size of the CR-V and RAV4.

If Infiniti is really benchmarking Porsche, that would be great. But I'm starting to think they just drive around with the Porsche to get people talking. Really, why would a Cayenne be the benchmark for the EX, a much smaller car that hopefully will weigh at least 1,000 lbs lighter.

Yeah. I'm assuming it is the camera for the new Around View Monitor, but it's not supposed to be permanently fixed to the front. On the concept it was right below the Infiniti emblem and it was concealed until you used it. It was one of the best things about this car.

It's portrayed in this video.

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/FpXU-MgChBE"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/FpXU-MgChBE" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

Considering people leaning on cars and vehicles backing up; this camera won't last. Then you have the people that like to key scratches into cars. Knocking this camera off will be more tempting as a way to **** off an Owner. I just think it's a bad move.

C'mon guys...there is no way that this camera will be permanently fixed to the front of the EX. It will function as seen in the video above. At the time the picture was taken, I'm sure they had either a.) just parked or were b.) testing the system. I don't know anymore about the system then you all do but I'm sure Infiniti wouldn't make that mistake.
