With our economy and dollar value going down, HKS USA and other companies here that are US based like tanabe, greddy have to pay more because the convertion from DOLLAR TO YEN is weaker than it was 2 years ago, hence, higher prices. Also, with the demand for steel is very high in asia(china for example and the olympics), caused manufaturers to raise prices.
Im sure there is more to it also but those are the 2 main things i was told
