Not sure I see the point in this.. is it just for vanity?
Actually, I ordered just one, so I can distinguish my key from my fiance's. We keep all of our keys on a pegboard, so this is a fast easy way to tell hers from mine. She happens to like it, so that's a bonus

I've had my M keys for nearly 2 years without a scratch on either one of them. One even went through the washing machine without any problems (although it did come out a bit shinier).
I am surprised the benefits are not obvious to everyone. First, protection of the actual IK itself. They are quite expensive. Having one slip out of your hand (you still need to press the alarm button every time you park the car) and crash to the cement could be a very expensive little slip. No matter how careful you are, you will probably drop the IK at least once in the next few years. So, this is pretty cheap protection.
Second, the cover has clear plastic over the buttons. There have been numerous posts from people who said a button was accidently pushed in their pocket or purse. They come back to their car to find the trunk open or the windows down. All because a button was mistakenly pushed as they were walking away. The clear plastic cover protects against accidental button pushing.
And, how much vanity can you pull off if you don't need to take the IK out of your pocket to open the door?
And, fwiw, these are very well made and do a good job of protecting the IK. I have no complaints, no buyer's remorse and am very happy I gave some money to Terry in exchange for the covers.
