What should I do?

I will be visiting Southern California for a few days in the near future before heading to Vegas. I have plans one of the days, but the other two I am, for the most part, free. Any suggestions on what I should do with my time? Restaurant recommendations in the Los Angeles area?

Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Been a number of years since I went. But breakfast at the Sunset Grille in Hollywood was awesome. Best pancakes ever. They were made with Bailey's Irish Cream and they were as big as a skillet. Yum.

Thanks, Jeremy... I am going to be doing some exploring, so I bet I will probably pop in there.

Thanks for chiming in, Josh.

I will be staying at the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. I guess they provide car service up to three miles from the hotel, which is convenient. I am not interested in clubs. I'm just looking for a few chill things to do, places to see, maybe a bar you'd recommend for lunch or something... I just want to check out the city, really, but I won't be ripping it up out there.

However, I'm only there for two and half days and one of those days is already filled up.

As for food, I'm hoping to maybe find a good sushi spot. Other than that, my favorite kind of food is Italian. I am sure I will get a few recommendations before I actually arrive, but I didn't know if any of the members here who live in the area might have some suggestions/recommendations.

For sushi, maybe you can check out Yamashiro or Geisha House? Yamashiro for the view or Geisha House for a "club" type ambiance. I personally haven't been to either lol.

Thanks, man. I have actually heard the view at Yamashiro is pretty epic. I have not heard the same about the food. Maybe a good spot for drinks...

Head down to LA Live. Katsuya is down there, I am a big fan of their sushi. There are a couple nice bar and places to just chill out down there, movie theater, lucky strike, espn zone. Its right across from Staples center though and there and some of the new "it" places to be seen so it can be a good place to people watch plus most nights there is something going on at either Nokia Theater or Club Nokia. (staples is empty right now, it's crazy when the Lakers, Clippers, and Kings are all in season playing in the same building)

Santa Monica has some nice restaurants and bars, pretty close to you, if you want to be down by the beach. Great place for breakfast down there too called Jinky's Cafe.

Let me know if there is anything else you want to check out and I can come up with some ideas.

I'd agree with what Josh said & also add Universal City Walk to the list.. I think you will find the most to do in Santa Monica or Universal City Walk.

1. LA Live - Yard House (bar), ESPN zone, Staple Center, Nokia Theater, Lucky Strike
2. Santa Monica Pier - Santa Monica Mall, Promenade, Pier & Water on PCH (also many restaurants and plenty shopping if you're into that)
3. Universal City Walk - Universal Studios, City Walk(tourist spot & stores), Restaurants & Bars (Saddle Ranch)

I haven't set anything up. Kevin wanted to meet up with me at some point, but I think we are going to miss each other. I leave LA to head to Vegas the day he leaves Vegas to come back to LA...

Other than that, I will be spending some time at Bulletproof on Monday.
