ExtremeAutofest in Anaheim, June 10
yeah, I used to show at Autofest all the time back in the day, it's pretty lame now it's a lot of gator skin and coach interiors, lots of doors that fling open every which way, tons of silly bodywork and ruined cars IMO.
for those interested in showing, there's no real judging guidelines or rules to follow, they actually make stuff up as they go along, (I'm serious, no joke). They open new classes spur of the moment and close pre-approved classes all the time just because they can. A trophy from Autofest means nada.
Sad thing is, usually, when it's not my style, I can still appreciate the hard work. but on MANY of these cars, the work sucks.
Autofest doesn't screen entrants either so you get a lot of poorly done cars too, so as a spectator don't waste the money, HIN , Wekfest, shows like these are much better time and money spent.
