I'm in the same situation I recomend for anyone in the future to go and spend the $4 on 20 double edge razor blades and use about 5 per window, when ever they get dull, don't use one you found laying around your house or you'll possibly scratch the window. I'm trying to get a cop to sign it off for me, my sister asked me if I wanted a doctors note but I'd be scared going to the courts with that aha.

i did get a REAL doctors note and actually the next day i got pulled over for tint and i was real excited to have a ledgit excuse and the cop asks me to step out and busts out the book of law or something lol..and flips open to the tint page and showed me that my doctors note was good but that means i can only have "retractable tint"...pretty much means i need maybach curtains as my tint, so doctors notes are worthless...you have to just take it off and put it back on...sorry bro

My best friend got 2 window tint fix-its within the past 3-4 months and he said that he just went with the option to just pay the fine/penalty amount ($70 penalty plus $10 processing fee.. pre-1/1/09.. prob $95 total now) rather than fix it..

The way I see it, it costs nearly that much to have the tint ripped down and put back up.. if I get a fix-it for my fronts, I'd just save myself the hassle and pay the penalty as well..

I might have to do that I can take it off myself save me $20 and 60 to put it on I'd pay the difference to not have to go to a tint shop and wait

if you are pretty cool with an officer you can get them to sign off the ticket, but you will still have to pay $25 at traffic court. at least you dont have to remove the tint. thats how it is here in san diego.
