asking for public help

ok for a security purpose i will disclose the name of the shop that im going through this ugly stuff with.

here is the story

i ordered something for my G. he promised me 6 weeks for it to arrive. part is paid in full already.

it has been more than 3 months which is 12 weeks...

i recently found out that it was not even ordered.

and the owner of the shop and the distributor are saying different story

what is the best approach to solve this problems?

PS even if you have clues with shop i am talking about, please keep it inside for me

i will post another thread with all the information if the owner is not willing to work with me for this matter

surprisingly they are the sponsor of our forum and a lot of others'

did you pay with credit card?

i'd just file for a charge back or something similar

gather all the information like purchase date/shop name/etc along with the whole story, then call your CC company and they should take care of you

Visit or speak with whoever is in charge at this vendor. In person or on the phone not through email or PM. Explain to them your issue. Ask them to order the part and have it delivered express at their expense. If they are willing to do that then I'd say to let the situation be. Someone screwed up but if they fix it then problem solved.

If it does not get resolved quickly post the name of the sponsor so other members don't get screwed.

believe it or not i do not have any credit cards to avoid building debt except bestbuy credit card therefore i paid in cash i have all the invoices with records of making payments. i took this issue equal to what black betty said that is why i disclosed the infos of the shop since im not sure what exactly caused problem..... didnt want to make them look bad for something that is not certain at this point.

anyhow..
ok i found out that they werent ordered a few weeks ago.... i contacted the distributor who takes order from this shop. i guess there were some kind of misunderstandings going on between the shop and distributor. wish either one of them followed up in meanwhile....so i would've found out about this earlier anyway

it is really hard to blame on who. since i dont know how the transaction went through between those two. and pointless to blame either when all i want is the part i ordered

anyway orders have been resubmitted today. i have to wait another 6 weeks or so.

it is total of 18 weeks of my waiting time
but im glad the owner actually called me and talked to me for a long time to solve the problems. that was all i wanted im not here to screw anyone over nor make them look bad when you only can hear one side of story which is me.

now i guess i just have to wait around until it arrives... hopefully everything will go smoothly this time.

thanks for your inputs . didnt expect it to get this solved this quick!

the owner said he will make it up to me... and i think he really meant it !
