According to this: http://www.kingtint.com/Cal-widw-tint-laws-1.html
Cali people can only get up to 70% on the front windows, and anything on the rears. So pretty much your out of luck.
If it even looks tinted, they'll notice it. If you still want it tinted, go 35% all around..but even then, it lets in so much light that i think it sucks.

Wow 5 times? That's a lot...although since what you got is practically limo tint, I can see why.
Only members of the mob would do 5%...but then again, ur name is g37mobber...
I have 30% and I think it looks fine. Haven't had any trouble so far...

Considering that California allows just about anything other than on the front windshield, as the link above shows, you should be OK if you leave the front alone. And if you do get pulled over with a overly-dark side window, I would suggest you roll down your driver’s window first lest you get a pistol pointed at your face.
In fact, if you have 5% or more on the sides, it may be a good idea to drive at night with your windows rolled down anyway, as I doubt you can see anything on either side of you.

I use 30% in the front and that is pretty good for me.
I never knew 70% was legal in cali. Always thought no tint was allowed in front. Good to know otherwise, even though no one would run 70%, that would be a waste.

Now no offense, and I don’t really want to get into another illegal tint debate, but I don’t believe there’s any way you can see through a 30% windshield at night without seriously compromising safety unless you were born on Krypton.
