Kearny Mesa Infiniti—Worst Experience EVER!
Regarding washing the car at the dealer, I learned from the local VW dealership that telling the service writer is not sufficient. He put it on the ticket and they are real good at the dealer, but they are in such a habit that the person just runs it through the machine on the way back to delivery. So next time my service writer wrote a large note in English and Spanish and taped it to window. That seems to work.
If you have custom wheels, be careful who does your saftey inspections (if required in your state) and alignments or you will have scratches on the wheel and around the lug nuts. It is a pain, but I have always installed my winter wheels or stockers before taking it in for service requiring them to remove/touch the wheels. Maybe overkill, but makes me feel better.
Good luck with the repairs.
@ the OP:
Kearny Mesa doesn't have the best of reputations; you can just search for them over on g35 driver and read the stories...
They have a closed market, and as such, don't need to be the best, or even close to the best dealership in the area to retain their business.
Many SD owners will make the ~100 mile drive up to us to get service done for that very reason.

I have that same ripple in my driver's seat as well. Is that normal? Does anyone else have that ripple or should I take mine to the dealer and ask about that as well? I didn't think much of it at first but it does kind of bother me a little.
Some folks have had the seat cushion replaced under warranty for ripples in the bottom seat cushion.
For the repairs requiring paint you should get them to reimburse you for depreiation as well.
For the rattle that I had in the A pillar, my dealer (crossroards in Raleigh) had to remove my roof panels. They put it back together in such a way that when they were finished I could not even tell that were in the car. The rattle is gone and the car still looks good as new. That's how a dealership is supposed to treat your car- especxially your 40K car. Sure I've had some minor issues where I had to take my car right back or something wasn't done to my liking but the dealer has always bent over backwards to get it right and I didn't have to get upset to get them to do it. They give me the impression that they hate it when a customer has to point out to them when something is wrong. One time on my G35 they scratched my wheels. The repair contractor came out and tried to fix the scratched. When it was all said and done the service technician, before I even looked it over, said that he was not satisfied with the work and that if I wasn't satisfied then they would simply replace the rims. I digress
But my point is that customer service should begin with the servicer not the customer. Both parties need to be reasonable. For carssuch as this it is best for dealerships to employ people who are car enthisuasts who understand how people can be passionate about their cars. In this case, as described, it doesn't sound as if the tech was being reasonable or understanding at all. That's a good way for them to get a bad rep, their business pulled, and lose customers in the future.

This is exactly why I ignore little rattles. I'd take a rattle over a whole bunch of scratches and anger anyday. If you can't live with the rattle blast the music. Service technicians always cause more damage than what has already been done. Thus involving more work and a total waste of time. Check out the paint on your door too for any dents. I've noticed with trips to past dealers that they have a habbit of letting the door fly back all the way and hit it up against things in tight spaces.
The OP is too **** and that precipitated all of this IMO. Nothing you took the car in for really justified what they would have to do to it (I have a few rattles here and there but I sure as hell am not letting the dealer rip my car apart just to get rid of them). Judging by your post, I imagine you were less than polite with these people when you dropped the car off. I deal with people like this all the time and they annoy the crap out of me.
The dealer screwed up your car for sure and they will have to make it right, but you probably brought some of it on yourself. Who takes their car to the dealer to fix a normal cold-start idle? Or a worn seat? Seems like you were looking for something to be pissed about before you even left the car there....

Irregardless to how passionate you are about your car, it's a car. It can be fixed or replaced. The comment is almost insulting. Your obviously smarter than that.
As far as the damage to the car - totally unacceptable. I would have left the car at the dealership, jumped back in the loaner and showed-up the next day with my attorney to discuss the issue.
Just for curiousity's sake, how old are you?
Best of luck with your problem. It's totally unaccepatable and no one should be made to go through what you have endured. I can't believe no one from Infiniti doesn't monitor this Board and follow-up on these types of situations.
Let me put it in a way that might help you understand a little betterSay you have a kid and you drop him off at daycare and you ask them to take good care of him and when you pick him up at the end of the day and he has scratches on his forehead and they all just stare at you like a deer in the headlight how would you react?I dont have kids but I have cars. Cars are what I love. I tried to be nice but it wasnt working so that is when it went to the next level
