headlight mod? in Miami,fl

Hey guys/ just got my g and definitely want to black out the headlights. I don't have the option of being without my car to send to 180. They are also pretty expensive, but that's besides the point. I attempted this on my old Subaru, but these headlights are much bigger and also I am horrible at painting. I think I saw stanced370z has done it a few times, so if anyone knows him I would love if they could let him know to contact me.

Thanks guys, feels great to be back in the vq family!!(had a 350z before)

Well this forum seems a bit dead, I remember the 350 forum having a lot more action. Well again if someone could please help me out with this that would be great.

It's not really dead, I think the issue is that it's hard to know what you're looking for. You've obviously looked in to 180 customs, but can't send your lights off. 180 does a core exchange, so you can order them, then send back your headlights, if that's an issue.

I haven't heard anything about "stanced370z" doing headlights here on the forum, but there's nothing 99% of us can do that you can't. Send him a PM, he'll see it the next time he logs on, or he'll ignore you.

You could also DIY, there are a lot of instructions available in the modding sticky section.

So, with that in mind, what were you wanting when you created this post?

Welcome to the forum.

I was trying to see if anyone local knew of anyone to do the headlights. When I contacted 180, I told them I could not be without a car, but a core exchange was never offered? I guess I have to call them up again and check that option.

Also look at Raul G customs in California.

Haven't heard the best things about Raul. I can deal with an OK job if the price is right, but his attitude from what I've seen is pretty bad. I have a short temper and that type of attitude would set me off and would not end up well for Raul lol.

I contacted him, guy seems really cool and I love his work. Also tells me how it is straight up on what I should do. I think I'll be going with mike without hesitation.

how did that work out for you? not necessarily wanting to black out, just thinking on changing out the lenses, but looking for someone locally in central fl- tampa area....
