A warning about Nalley Infiniti Decatur GA

I was driving by and saw a 2011 G37 coupe and I thought I would drop in and take a look at it.
As I was reading the sticker I noticed that it said the car was an IPL G37.
Having been researching this car for months I knew that, that was not a IPL model.

I went inside to talk to a sale person and I started asking him questions about the car. He told me that he had just been working there a few weeks but had been selling cars for years. (How come I always seem to get the new guy and how come every car seller has been selling cars for years and has sold all types of car but "this is best by far" car they have ever sold?) I asked him about IPLs and he admitted that he really didn't know much about the car and went to go ask someone (Note to sales people Know what the heck you are selling!!!! It doesn't matter how long you been selling cars you need to Know about the car you are selling NOW).
So he came back and told me what little he could remember from what someone just told me and ask if I was interested in the car.
No I said because that is Not and IPL car. He went to get the person that told him what a IPL was and then went to get the key.
As me and the other guy walked up to the car he said out loud "That's NOT an IPL, what made you think it was an IPL?" I said the sticker!!!!

Long story short, they had the wrong sticker on the car. They didn't even have a IPL on the lot nor could he tell me the price of the now newly non IPL G37 coupe. I sales guy said it should be about the same price. Really? That's almost like 2 different cars.

I did get to drive the car... Very Nice but not knowing A: about the product you are selling and B: Having the wrong sticker on the car (Thinking bait and switch) just reminds me why people hate buying a used car.

Later that day I found ANOTHER car touting the IPL badge and of course it wasn't.
Just for a joke I was looking on a Nalley site. I saw that same issue. That's 3 cars in 2 days that had the wrong window sticker.
How can you trust or buy from someone like that?

Oh and there so called online chat....
U$ELE$$

The first time I use it I just wanted to know how many keyfobs it had and how much was an extra one.
After round and round of her trying to get more info about me she just came out and said I can have a sales person contact me.
THANK YOU FOR WASTING MY TIME!!! was my reply. If you can't answer a simple question then what's the use?

The second time I use their chat service was to point out the miss labeling of the second car that had the wrong sticker on it and again he was trying to get more info on me.

Well Nalley that's something you do not have to worry about, knowing anything about me.
How can someone buy a car that cost that much from a dealer that runs like that?

From the GM (The first time)

Thank you for the feedback and bringing this to my attention. I apologize for the confusion with the G37 and I am currently in the process of making sure all G37's are marked clearly. If you are still interested in an Infiniti IPL G Coupe I am more than happy to work with you to find exactly what you are looking for. Please contact me at your earliest convenience at (404)292-6930. I look forward to hearing from you.
My reply to the GM of Nalley Infiniti Decatur after he replied back.
And how come when companies make a huge mistake want you to come in and see what they can do for you.
What companies can do is not **** off their customers and do the right thing up front. Once I'm out the door, I'm out, it's done. They Never have to worry about trying to make me happy again.
'It takes years to win a customer and only seconds
to lose one.'

My Reply:
Jim,
I'm not looking for a IPL. The point is that your company had cars listed as IPL.
It really bothers me when I see mistakes like that, that can cost some other buyer Thousand$ of dollars just because there's no checks and balances for it's inventory.

Really? How can you not know what you have Or what it is?

Another reply from the GM:
"RE: Your comment on my review of Nalley Infiniti Decatur
"We certainly share your concern. This is an issue within our database that we are aware of and are actively working to fix it. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention."

My reply:
Is that the best you can do?
You are selling $30, $40, $50000.00 cars. Are you telling me there's nobody there that walks the yard and makes sure the vin on the sticker matches the car???
Really?

How can you trust a dealer like that?
It just shows just how much you care about your company.
Three mistakes on cars in two days.
I wonder how many other mistakes I would have found if I looked.

While it may seem deceptive, most salesmen really don't know as much about the product they're selling as someone on an enthusiast board. That said, regardless of how many ipl or nos stickers the car has, it's up to the buyer to do their due diligence and be informed about what they're buying [and what they're not buying]. Given how many models infiniti sells and their variations, I wouldn't expect a salesman to know them all.

If you like the car, make them an offer, if not, move on.

I'm not sure how car shopping savvy you are, but the vast majority of salesmen and even managers are not enthusiasts and will know less about the cars they sell than many of us. If it really bothers you that much, you're in trouble because you'll probably always know more than the sales people about technical stuff regarding the cars (expect for the sales pros/enthusiasts here).

Also live chat for most sales oriented businesses is simply a person to get your contact info to have someone contact you to sell you something. Not useful for getting much info. I thought everyone knew that.

Since they've pissed you off by mislabeling the car, go somewhere else n thanks for the warning to the community.

And in other news....the earth is round.

It is a rare occasion when the car salesperson knows more about the car than I do. The internet has changed the game.
