Good shops in TN?

Hey guys,
I'm relatively new to the area and was looking for a shop that does good work. Anyone with recommendations? Preferably western TN but willing to drive to the east if that's all I can find.
Thanks!

what kind of work do you want done? Take a day trip to Atlanta if necessary and go to Forged.

Reviving this thread in hopes of getting a posted answer so future searches might see the responses.

First off, hello from a new-to-me 08 g37s 6mt coupe owner. I live in Memphis and I am looking for suggestions on reputable independent shops in the area that will do quality work on maintenance and possibly any upgrades I may decide to do.

I've been lurking on the forum for about a month now, and I've learned a lot about the ins and outs of my car while also getting great ideas for "tweaks" I would like to do in the future. Looking forward to continued discussions and learning more from the obvious wealth of knowledge on here.

Hey GarretB,
Congrats and welcome to our forum! I wish I could help you find a good shop around town. Unfortunately for me, I haven't found a shop that does a good job. I've asked around and few places and all were trying to charge me an arm and a leg to get new springs put on. (~$250) The only plus is Infiniti of Memphis treats me very well and takes very good care of my car. I've had them remove my R2C intakes and put on my stocks when I returned my 2008 for no charge. I've also had my midnight grille taken off for a small charge. These I probably could have done myself but for the time it would have taken, I was already too impatient to get my 2011.
All in all, I haven't found any great shops so if you hear of anything, come give me a shout.
Although, I have seen a few G's around town that do look either lowered and/or modded so you might want to ask them. Unfortunately, I don't think they come on this forum so you'll have to find them driving around.
Good luck!

Oh to add, not sure if you have an OB, but if you do, do not let the dealership wash your car! You will get massive swirls everywhere. They use the same damn towel basically on every car and reuse it in the same bucket. It'll look clean when you get your car back but when you drive it out in the sun, you will want to cry! Trust me, I learned the hard way!
Learn to wash and polish your car the proper way or get someone to help you out!

Hey ohso, thanks for the reply and welcome. I've heard good things about Infiniti of Memphis and I'm glad that you've had good experiences there as well, so it's a plus to know that they are available as an option. I also see modded Infinitis driving around, so I will be sure to ask and pass on any info I may get.

As for the paint job, someone had already added the Special Swirl Detailing (TM) before I bought it. It's not too bad, but far too noticable for me. I do personally wash and wax/polish my cars, so I hope to mitigate any more damage.

That's good to hear.
If you are interested, here's a link to my thread regarding washing our cars.
Might be a little long but hard work always pays off!

Infiniti of Memphis has always treated me right.
Avoid Xtreme Auto Accessories on Stage Road in Bartlett. They are clueless and overpriced. Example: After a 2 1/2 hour wait to get Eibach springs (correct p/n for a 2008) installed on my G37S, thet informed that the springs would not fit on the car. They even said that they called Eibach and thats what they told them. According to my call to Eibach and the serive manager at Infiniti, Xtreme doesn't know what they are talking about. They even charged me $50.00 to get my car returned.
See ya'll on the road.
