Charlotte roads, even in the current state, are smooth as butter compared to OH or PA. haha
I'm originally from NE Ohio, even "bad" roads here are better than "good" Cleveland roads.

So we have a couple of choices/locations for Saturday, April 8th. Wilmington seems to be our best bet, but Fort Fisher, NC also seems pretty neat and would provide us a good opportunity to get some cool photos.

Fort Fisher looks cool! I'm intrigued.

I do! I'm still waiting to get some responses regarding the meet location so I can start the thread, though.

I'm still in, but it will need to be on a weekend that I'm available, as I presume that's the same for most ppl.

Just a heads up- the weekend of 7-9 April is Azalea Festival weekend here in Wilmington. Think of it as a antiquated southern antebellum tourist trap celebrating a ugly flowering shrub replete with concerts (I think Jason Derulo is on the lineup), street fairs, and a parade. Traffic will be more congested than usual, lodging will be tight, and you'll have thousands of tourists choking the area.

Events | North Carolina Azalea Festival

Ft. Fisher will be just as crowded and you likely won't find ample parking at the overlook and I know the boat launch next to the ferry terminal- which might offer the best backgrounds for photos- will be packed. If the weather breaks by then and spring arrives early it will be a exceedingly chaotic hell.

By no means am I discouraging you guys, I am just adding some info. For some it might be a added incentive. Good luck wherever you decide and best of luck with your meet.

Um, dude... I'm from Cleveland Heights. I'm definitely not saying roads are worse here or even comparable, but there are some really bad spots that I regularly travel and don't want the trouble of possibly bending the wheel on a raised manhole, pothole, huge tarmac bump or whatever.

I also want a more "motorsports" look (hopefully).

I'm on Koni + Swifts, and with 245/40/19 front and 275/35/19 rear PSS the ride is only slightly stiffer than stock. I dialed back the shock firmness when I switched to coupe 19s. I don't have any experience with 20s but I'd imagine the likely shorter sidewall would impact ride quality.

IMO 19"s are at the price/performance/visual sweet spot.

You'd be surprised how many people in NC are from Cleveland, dude.
Sure don't miss the roads there. At the current car height, I'd be 100% screwed. haha. But yea, will likely be raising it a bit anyway because of all the crap inside the wheel wells and wider wheels.

Yeah, that's where I'm at with mine. I've done the whole "Stance" thing and not interested in doing that again on a daily driver. I want it aggressive but a nice balance of form and function. So 19s staggered or squared or very wide squared set of 18s for me. I'd love to find a set of IPLs for now though

There are a couple of sets in classifieds - love the look of those wheels, but already have 2 sets and not willing to spend the $$$ just to mess around. If a set ever pops up locally though, I might jump on it.
