Slow to navigate page

Since the last site update after the page loads, it takes 1-2 seconds to scroll down the thread.
This is on a fresh install of MacOS High Sierra using Safari.

Is it just me or is there anything I can try?

I would chalk it up to the site's slow-a$$ ad servers. It takes 4 to 5 seconds for my iPad to complete a page load because of the damned ads. And since Apple is pro-ad, they don't allow ad blocking software in the Apple Store. I am very hesitant to use an app not found in the store.

Would you like infinite scrolling and related threads to be turned off for you? It will improve page loading speeds if yours is taking a while to load.
