Trader Score suggestion
So just wanted to point something out.
The "trader score" only shows an increase based on different vendors you sell or buy with. It will NOT increase if you buy through the same vendor multiple times even if that vendor gives you multiple ratings. So if you find a great vendor and do repeat business with them and they comment multiple times by giving you multiple ratings....your trader score does not increase visually.
For example say I find a vendor and I buy 100 parts through that vendor ( at different times over the course of a year ), he then comments over the course of the year 100 times that I am a great buyer....my Trader Score (the score that everyone sees when you post) is going to stay at only 1. It will not increase, it will not show any change based on the 100 ratings that the vendor gave me....because he is the same vendor and you only get 1 score per vendor.
I think if your making multiple transactions with the same vendor your still supporting the vendors and you should get a score update every time they give you a rating...even if with the same vendor....
Just a suggestion....I honestly should not care about this ...
However, it is a bit more motivating to keep all transactions in the forum if your score increases...if it doesn't then I could see it becoming a primary focus on price as the only motivator for purchase.

*you're (multiple times)
Naturally this is the case. Vendors are typically a company with whom there is some form of recourse if you don't pay or you don't receive your product. There's much less negative that can happen with a vendor. Buying something from a classified, however, has a lot more potential downside for it (namely people being ****s and attempting to screw you out of your hard-earned money).
Trader score is essentially to let others know you're a good person with whom they can buy/sell and have a reasonable expectation of getting what is expected.

I've gotten trader scores by vendors I've done business with but for some odd reason Outcast Garage won't respond to my request of a feedback score. I guess after spending $335 on a splitter they're to busy to care anymore.
I believe that a vendor can leave an iTrader rating as many times as they have transactions with you, not just once. Same goes for a member patronizing a vendor multiple times. Unless that has changed and I'm not aware of it.

Yes they can leave an I trader rating.
But it does not show on your I trader score. (the score that everyone sees when you make a post)
Hence the reason for this thread....
Example: I have purchased multiple times from Import Parts Pro he has given me 2 "ratings" so far. However, the "Trader Score" ( that everyone sees when you make a post) does not reflect this. The trader score only reflects 1 for that vendor regardless. Check my Trader Score...it shows 4 although I have 5 ratings....
So ...say I purchased 10 things from Import Parts I get no increase in my trader score for this...just multiple ratings that no one can see unless they click on my trader score...
Thats the point of the thread...

I get what you're saying now lol I also have a trader feedback score of 47 but 51 reviews. Kinda annoying bc I've done business with the same person more than once but I think the only way to change that is for a moderator or maybe the site admin. Not really sure.
There's probably a reason for it though because people tend to take advantage of things like that. I'm guessing it's so friends don't purposely try to boost eachother scores I'm assuming? Not sure why anyone would but it's just the first and only reason I could come up with.

I do understand the thread: trader score doesn't change regardless of how many times you do business with a vendor (I don't think it should change even if you do business with a vendor). Why should it?
Oh I see what you're saying now. Anyone can leave as many ratings as transactions that conducted, but it will only show once on the score. That's in place to prevent a very specific form of abuse of the iTrader system that garbage human beings have perpetrated. An example of a few people ruining things for everyone.

I had a feeling as well. Just like human garbage ruined the G of the month section of this forum by cheating. Honestly it's pathetic but understandable of why rules and things like this are in place.
The good thing is that pretty much all of the perpetrators of the things like those that screw it up for everyone have either moved on or been perma-banned. We've had very few problems lately like we did a while back. The ones that have created new user names and slunk back onto the forum (yes, I know about it and know I who you are
) have have figured out how to behave themselves in civilized society and aren't causing any trouble.

I guess I'll have to keep on selling everything I own and keep building up my trader score the fair way. lol I think I've been doing pretty well so far.
And I'm glad that the forum has calmed down, it's partially the reason why I was never on here much when I first got my car. I'd just be reading stuff and there was so much drama here so good job on the clean up!
