Trolls in the classifieds

Seriously.. do I have to deal with this ****? People trolling me on prices of things that I post? Even getting PM's saying I'm wrong.. these people aren't inquiring about the product or making an offer.. just giving me grief about money they have no stake in.

https://www.myg37.com/forums/private...eadlights.html

the other poster edited his responses.. I'm trying not to be the bad guy here.. but these guys are testing me and I'm posting pricing for other lights.. it's competitively priced.. end of story. does this happen to everyone? or just me

Pay no mind to it. They're just upset they can't afford it.

Actually all you ever have to do when someone is crapping on your classified thread is to report it. It's not tolerated. It's actually one of my biggest pet peeves. If anyone craps in anyone's thread regarding price or anything else, report the post and it'll get handled. The member posting there was 100% out of line. However if someone wants to PM you about it that's between the two of you unless it's harassing, in which case report it.

On another note since you went there, yes I agree that the price is somewhat high IMO. But you're welcome to ask whatever you like for them. If it's not too high and someone wants them, they'll buy. If it's too high they'll make you an offer or move on.

The posts have been edited already but I can still see them. It'll be dealt with.

I have a question regarding the posting requirements for the private classifieds. The Private Classified header states the requirement is 100 posts and 45 days (excluding paid, etc.), but the Posting Rules thread has the requirement set at 10 days and 10 posts.

Is the more stringent rule only applicable to new members, while others are grandfathered in? This would make sense due to the platform aging, scammers naturally tend to become more prevalent. This will also postpone the FS threads for half used cans of plastidip.

10 days/10 posts applies to everyone. The requirement was previously 45 days/100 posts but it was reduced. It seems that nobody on staff noticed that the forum header needed to be changed to reflect the new requirement. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. It'll be fixed soon.
