Can we please have a one week limit on vendors bumping their various FS threads? I feel I am missing interesting "owner" topics in the hundreds of vendor bumps that happen daily and all at once.
I feel your frustration rob, but it won't happen.
And I'll tell you why.....they help pay for this forum. They pay the owners.
Maybe a better solution would be to give those members that are paying for a yearly subscription an ability to choose to see vendors or not. Kind of like a block, if you will, that can be turned on or off depending on the users choice. And I say members that pay the subscription, or premier members, because non subscription members shouldn't have a choice because, well...they're not paying, so they can't b!tch.
Not that either of these ideas would happen...again....because vendors pay "the man".

Well like you said I'm a paying member also. And it is frustrating to me to scan through hundreds of vendor bumps daily. IMO, If you want to see what the vendors are offering you should scan the marketplace. I totally understand vendors survive off sales. And I am the first to support small businesses. But IMO these vendors bumps are the worst on this forum. Especially since it seems there are not a lot of sales generated. IE: I don't see a lot of large builds happening with the G37 as I do/did with the 350Z.
So, if you're concerned with missing some interesting "private" FS threads, just click on that section and you'll only be looking at private ads, the vendor ads have their own separate area.
Private:
Private Classifieds - MyG37
Vendor section:
Supporting Vendors - MyG37
Now just think of the vendors section as a pit full of vipers stacked 25 snakes deep. They need to bump themselves to the top, to have a better chance of getting fed...

I don't really see it as much of an issue.
When doing a new post search, the prefix to vendor threads is green. Simply skip over those if you're not interested.

Bumping of private classifieds isn't limited. Bumping of vendor classifieds isn't limited. I posted a thread asking about this and solicited opinions regarding private classifieds. The most vocal opinion and significant portion of the vote was to leave it alone as it is. That's what was done for Private Classifieds, that's whats going to be done with Vendor Classifieds. If any vendor is bumping their threads more than once every day, please PM the staff and bring it to our attention. If they're not bumping it more than daily, simply take the suggestion give in post 6 and ignore any posts in green and concentrate on the blue ones if you're not interested.
Nobody has any idea how many sales vendors generate from their threads except the vendor. Not having member posting activity in a vendor thread isn't any indication of whether it generates sales or not.
Vendors pay an exponentially higher amount every month to post in this forum than Premier Members do for an entire year so it stands to reason that they will have full access to use the forum in every way that members are allowed to short of them scamming people or being abusive.
