Search Classifieds et al
I wanted to add to the classified bump thread, but decided to make a fresh thread.
The search engine does not search three letter words, like IPL, and FOG.
While we can try the boolean +IPL + Bumper, it's not really intuitive in that case.
Can we allow 3 letter word searches, at least in the classifieds, then maybe people won't race to bump their thread every day.

I don't have a problem with 3 letter word searches but that's an issue for the Admin staff to address. I'll make sure to direct them to this thread so they can see it and make a decision. I honestly don't know the feasibility or possibility of it so I won't comment.
It won't do squat to affect how often people feel a need to bump their thread though.

Pretty common for an online forum to not allow 3 letter word searches.
What would be 10x better would be a "search for all words/terms" option. This would enable the search to only return results with all search words found within one thread, maybe within one post or just in the subject line. Enable this useful feature and get ONLY the results that include ALL of the search words. Example: search for navigation / install / camera < with this combination you'd only get results including all of the words, not every thread with the word navigation OR install OR camera, which returns way too many results... < this is what we have now and it's been that way for too long. Way too long!
Now if I'm actually going to ask if this type of feature (or ANYTHING like it) can be added, I'll just go ahead and PM IB Nolan to save time as the other unpaid administrators do not have the ability to do this anymore and have not been able to do so since IB internet brands or whatever they're called, gained ownership of this forum.

(The "thanks" button < was ultimately enabled by IB Nolan...)

On a side note, it appears to me as though changes such as the one suggested in this thread or others like adding a "like post" button would have to be done by IB themselves as not even forum administrators can do these type of things anymore since IB took over. If this is the case, asking for favors like this within the posting areas is sort of like asking the cashier at the supermarket if they can change the store hours, when instead, it'd need to be addressed to the store owner.
