It bites. I was really getting sick of looking at a thread earlier as it had a bunch of photos and as you scrolled down that crap kept popping up on each and every picture. WTF?

I browse on my iPhone often. Now every time I'm on the forum the lower right corner of the page curls up and partially blocks the page numbers. Even if I pull the page up and click on the VW ad, it just continues to do it. It is extremely annoying and I really wish it didn't do that. However I realize that this forum is owned by a for profit business and they have to have advertising to generate revenue. So it is what it is. However I'd like to suggest that Premier Members be able to disable this if they wish since they are paying. Free members can deal with it since they aren't paying for anything. My .02.

I bet they would love that. It shouldn't have to be that way. This Kontera business is a little too much, whether it be the mobile version or the web version. I can understand Jeremy's point about the site needing paying advertisers, but there is a point where it becomes ridiculous. Putting ads on all of our personal pictures? Every picture in every thread? The page flip thing to which Jeremy referred? The pop-ups on the mobile version? Every other word on the site double-underlined with a video ad? It is obnoxious and makes navigating the site tedious and, overall, far less enjoyable.

I really think IB should re-evaluate this.

I am with you BB. Preimier Members should be able to disable this annoying "Feature". It it kind of like all those "Free" games that you can get on your phone. Ads are included for free but if you pay, no ads. I do not mind the banner ads on the top of the page but this is kind of ridiculous and very annoying.

I have a strong suspicion that no matter what any of our opinions are, nobody who has authority to make changes gives a damn what we as end users think about it. If they wanted our input on it they'd have asked. It sucks. But I don't expect it to change. It is indeed awful because its extremely invasive.

We just changed to kontera and there are a few issues with it so far. If you guys are now seeing these in text ads while logged in then we will have the ad team change it. Not sure why these are popping up for mobile either.

@ black betty: same on my iphone. But if u need to get to a page number and its blocking you, you can drag it down towards the bottom right corner (opposite of what u would do to pull up the page to see the add) and it will go away. However, whenever you go to a different page it reappears and you have to do it again. Very annoying but i can get mine to go away to get to page numbers if needed
