I know how to do that. But I'm extremely annoyed that I have to actively suppress an invasive ad every single time I visit a page on the forum. And even when I suppress it, I often get a VW ad pop up anyway, seemingly randomly. Place an ad on the page and let users decide if it interests them enough to click it. But forcing users to physically interact with the ad on every single page is way too much. If I want pop up advertising I'll surf ****.

Okay, I'm not thrilled about these pop-ups either. It's definitely overkill. I can appreciate advertising but I'd rather see banners.

When I'm on my iPad the ads cause Safari to close. It's super annoying having to reopen the browser 10 times in order to get through a thread.

On my ipad, a "VW" advert was poping up with every page load. I understand I am a non-paying member and adverts are a way of life. But to dismiss an advert with every page load is intrusive and annoying. I never had any intention of buying a VW, but now it really turned me off to the company through no fault of their own.

At least serve up an advert for a car I would enjoy looking at...like an Infiniti.

Doesn't seem to got any better. Actually seems worse now especially browsing on iPhone regular version. Pretty annoying, it's only myg37 that has it too for some reason. My350z doesn't seem to have this problem.

I have iPhone and browse in the regular version and its completely gone. It has been since I posted earlier. Weird that its still there for you and gone for me.

Ya I have no idea. I seen you posted it was gone, but was still curious why it was still messing with me. Now there's a different pop up that actually advertises something and will not let me exit it until few seconds.

I am with you. It doesn't seem like anything has changed. It is borderline annoying to visit this site now (whether on a computer or phone). This Kontera crap is awful.

Wow,

What a great site this WAS...until this "ad" issues arose. I can't see it making a lot more profit for the owners if it causes members to get upset. I would NEVER go to a linked site that was forced upon me in the way these are.
