Jus like the title says, is it possible for an 08 to have drl's?
If so how?

You want DRLs? Some jurisdictions require them, so it may be possible on any year...

auto switch isnt daytime running lights. drl is a light that is always on and can never be turned off. auto switch will just turn the headlights on when it reaches a certain darkness level on the sensor on the dash
