There could be a lifetime supporter option. Maybe change the "Premier Member" logo to a "Lifetime Supporter" logo. I would be interested. Just a thought.

 

So how much better is the premier member's forums (what is discussed in there that is different?) That would be the only thing that'll interest me. As for the $30 a year, aren't most magazine subscriptions cheaper than that? In that sense, I think it's a little over priced.

 

Nothing is discussed in there. Pretty much all it's got is a weak **** thread that hasn't been posted in forever.

It's all about teh monies.

 

I guess its just an area off limits to the public to post what you want if its on topic. I think all forums are like that, not just this one. So as you said it bois down to end user wanting to support the site for what ever reason and said site collecting the monies. Of course you get other premium benefits which are listed on the site already, so a pic for your avatar, html enabled for your sig, x more lines in your sig. There is no " premium" content you are paying for IMO. I don't think there is a premium only group buy as an example. That's my 2 cents.

 

I agree the price isn't worth it. You don't really get anything besides HTML sig, avatar, a banner, and pm storage. Who stores so many PM to need storage space. I don't think the money support the community at all. I mean the only update I have seen is itrader and exp. Who needs exp? Isn't it the same as forum post.

Also I agree with Wake that there nothing even good in the nsfw thread at all. For 30 bucks I can exchange it for 1's then go to the club and MaKes iT Ra1n on the hoez instead!

Even the extra sig space is worthless now too it seems. All the guys who want pics in their sigs just post them at the end of each post now instead. They don't even use the signature anymore. Which is getting really annoying with all the huge "sig" pictures everyone keeps posting at the end of everything now.

Also for 30 bucks you don't even get anything physical out of it. On the other site I visit you get custom forum logo stickers for your car, along with refferal cards, and even have the option to order a customized carbon fiber pen.

 

 

The "experience" feature is the only update I've seen since the forum was started in '07 lol and it's nothing special. I remember when I had a little oversized sig banner and got hammered for it but now some people are allowed sig banners that are HUGE!

just take $30 and light it on fire. you'll get the same result as being a premium member on here.
