Is there anyway to have a separate Chat section, or a chatbox for live chatting?

I think that would be awesome. Since sometimes I see a cool car, or something about my car pops in my head, and I don't want to make a new thread about it, or spam up the forum. Like maybe for quick questions, or just general chatting.

I think it would be successful, since most people on this forum seem very civilized and would not spam up the chat.

 

Well we do have a Useless thread in the off topic subforum you can post anything you want there. No live chat though.

There was a thread created a while back where people exchanged addresses and chatted over IM

 

there used to be an AIM chatroom for myg37 but it was a FAIL. I don't know if we still have it, no one ever gets in there anyways

I've always been told the chat box idea could compromise the security of the site so it's always been turned down. Internet Brands, the company that owns MyG37, also owns vBulletin so hopefully an updated version of vB will include this feature.

 

It would be awesome if VBulletin added a chat box feature.

I think there is a way to code it into the page or something, and only have registered members able to see it, but it may just be a hassle.

 

there is a thread with a link to AIM chat where you can have a group of people talking on one IM. There were 4 people in it....ONCE
