Mod's...
Agreed just think some are way to close happy..
The basic principle of an open forum is free speech, moderators should only be involved if the site is compromised or someone is breaking a specific rule... Not just because "they view it" a certain way

This is an open forum, but I know that we will close any vendor bashing within their threads. You guys are welcome to start a new thread verbalizing or typing your disapproval of certain vendors. But if you choose to post negative remarks in their thread, we will have to delete or remove those posts.
As for the vendor's pay so thats why we leave them open. No one is paying me a dime, so I have no problems closing their threads, but there would have to be a valid reason to close their thread. Until the disputes are worked out between the vendors and whomever is getting money from the vendors, the rest of us moderators just have to follow along with IB's rules.
My suggestion, after Mastergrade or Forged make a post, create a post to follow it, discussing their products short comings. Just don't do it in the vendors actual thread. As for the "we all know where this is going" thing, I could care less since I'm usually off-topic anyways, there is no way to tell where I'm going to take a thread anywhere. But I will say if I see offensive posts I will just delete them, I'm not going to waste my time editing posts so they are all warm and mushy. I don't get paid for this, so I'm not going to waste my time correcting your errors, deleting is far easier.

Grahm I am talking about threads started about 360 forged getting closed!!! Were on the same page unfortunately some mods don't know what they are doing... Like I said breaking rules etc totally legit to close but threads about 360 (not their thread, one started separatly) getting closed several times

Well I did close down the Tanui's thread with his 360 forged experience because it wouldnt make sense for everyone to go on bashing 360 when OP & 360 are working something out. I told him to PM me when he gets updates so I can re-open that thread that's it. Nothing was deleted
The purpose of having a forum like this is for people to learn from constructive arguements that build up throughout the thread! How boring would it be if you're reading through that thread for the first time, with one post that's helpful and like 60 coming posts going like: "that sux man.." "put a bullet in his head" "bomb his place lol" etc..
After reading like 10 posts or so you might just get bored and close the window when actually there might have been an interesting update later on that happened but too bad it was like post #82.. That's the definition of threads not going anywhere (or mine at least)

IMHO, the OP posted this to provoke negative responses which is exactly what happened. 2 posts total in the last two years and his 3rd post was to complain and call people modding their G as immature and ricey? I rarely close any posts, but this one to me was an obvious troll attempt. One of our main rules is to keep negative and personal attacks out of this forum which again IMHO, this person was trying to provoke. My apologies that we don't share that viewpoint. I am just trying my best to keep this place a positive place.
Check out the thread now man.. Aside from 1-2 comments it is relatively light hearted fun, off topic just stupid thread.. nothing wrong with it..
i feel ya and i totally understand where you guys are coming from, ijust think re: g37 sam...Not disputing the thread you are specifically talking about, i was talking about other's that were started after the fact...This is a forum, if people come in here thinking they can trust everything everyone says then they dont belong in here...One positive response and 15 negative on a certain company tells you something though which i think is important for newbs to be able to learn...
Let's say 360(just an example i hate to keep using them) is just changing its name again and nothing was done about CS or production times... A newb comes in and reads a thread that you close after 2 negative comments and then he gets screwed, when all along if it were left open (to a point, of course) he would have avoided a costly mistake...
my $.02
People should be able to choose what to listen to and what not to, 99% of threads in here have MANY totally off topic or unrelated responses within...

Oh I totally agree with you jarborn.. I only feel the need to close a thread when it starts becoming mis-leading (like that 360 example which you hate haha). They might've worked out something out, but for all you know everyone here is bashing them => Noob mislead lol
If someone however starts a thread asking for opinions, it will forever stay open as long as it doesn't turn into a youtube-like comments section
