Why not create and post some yourself? One needn't be a ASE certified mechanic to have something useful to post for others to benefit from. The best DIY's IMO come form other owners/shade tree mechanics who have access to the same tools and facilities that I do. I don't have expensive specialized tools, access to my own shop with a lift, etc. I prefer a DIY like the ones Ivoidwarranties and others post that are practical and can sometimes tell you things to be wary of because they're not afraid to tell you the mistakes they made so as to help you avoid them. I perfrom my surgery on Betty in the garage or driveway, not in an Infiniti service bay.

Doesn't DIT stand for Do It Yourself? Everyone should contribute something that they are good at or know a special trick for.

well, I just don't know much about cars, specially the G. I'm not as skilled as other people, the most I have done is 1 oil change and brake pad replacement on my previous bmw.
I was going to do it on the G, but I have never dealt with 4 piston brakes. But i'm sure there are people who have worked with them before.

Good point. When you get a few installs under your belt, I expect to see your DIY's posted.

I've also noticed that you don't have to be logged in at all to just view the forum...

I know me personally, most all of my posts are to answer technical questions. I dont post senseless crap. Not a lot of technical questions are asked on this forum. Also, you have haters who call you out for getting to technical, so its like I'm damned if I do, and damned if I dont. I've said it before and I'll say it again... I like to educate ppl and share my knowledge and could care less about those people who are bothered by the tech posts. If you have tech questions... ask away!!!

Have you done a DIY? Specifically replacing brake pads?

I'm a DIY'er from body work and paint to building motors. I havent replaced pads on the G37 specifically, but I have done many many disk brake pad changes before. What are you having trouble with?
