The poll depends on members having to actually go to that thread and running the poll.

Clustermap is automatic. No polling required. It looks at the IP address coming in. It also displays a much more accurate map.

Alright that's cool, well will see if one of the Admins can set something up like that, at least no one has to 'paticipate'.

 

I think something that's optional would be more palatable for the users. Create a map like frappr if people want to choose to participate.

 

I see no point in doing something like that because very few people will actually participate therefore why put it up?

If IP addresses are not visible then what would be the problem having it automatically map everyone. I think its a cool idea and no one needs to click any buttons.

There still seems to be a lot of people on the net that are worried that someone might now what state or city you live in. Madd amounts of paranoia. Get real people. No One Cares Who You Are Or Where You Live. If someone finds out you live in Los Angelas, CA, they are not going to go kill you. Be a little more paranoid when your IP address gives your street address other then that get out of your bomb shelter and stop worrying. If you use a web proxy then you probably are doing things you shouldn't be doing. Ow Ya, and remember "Big Brother" is always watching!
