Logo Contest? Winner?

aparently, this issue is the most important issue in the world right now.

Wohh there killer. A prize does not necessarily mean something physically tangible. Not to mention it said "TBD" so who's to say it wasn't just for bragging rights?

I'm sure some of these comments are just in humor. I don't think there was ever any cheapness intended at all, more like an omission.
For those of us who weren't around when the contest started, just wanted to point out that there was supposed to have been a final poll to determine the winner but this never happened; thus, the omission of declaring a winner. It was partly the timing (a lot of people were on summer holidays) and the fact we have more people joining this forum that some people would like the contest to continue or to reach a final conclusion.
The current logo looks pretty good to me. I think it's time to congratulate r15k for a great design. His logo design has been representing this community for about 6 months I believe, so a prize (not price heh heh
) is well deserved. Given the community nature of this forum, I think the best prize anyway is having your design displayed on every page, but it would be nice to see something like premier membership offered to the winner.
We've had some good entries and the polls indicated a close race. We're lucky we have some graphics and design pros willing to spend their time to make this community better. By the way, thanks to all, both pro or amateur, for their contribution, effort, and inspiration and hope to see this kind of enthusiasm in future endeavours. I was in awe by some of these designs, wow! ... you guys are good!
For the new guys who expressed interest, if the contest is declared over, I'm sure there will be another opportunity down the road with other types of logos or when it becomes time to refresh the look.

I dont think its right some people are kind of bad mouthing the contest, its not fair. A prize was to be awarded (TBD) and bragging rights, thats what was on the announcement.
I know the admins have a life and cant be on the board 24/7 but after a couple months of not hearing anything? Id back anyone who wouldve been in the same situation, we worked hard on these designs.
