Hello everyone, I realize that this is a long shot, but it's worth a try. I am looking for a steering wheel, as pictured. I am open to buying your used one, or knowing of a way to have my own made.

I am aware of places like Dallas Customs and have spoken to them - they are not able to produce a wheel like this for me.

The company that originally made this steering wheel is IGT Automotive and the do not appear to be in business anymore.

I am not interested in any carbon fiber, all leather. Ideally the steering wheel would have contrast stitching and the perforated leather inserts.

Any input, leads, or used/similar versions for sale would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the advice. Redline goods seems to offer similar products as Dallas Customs - recovering without reshaping. I will keep them in mind if other options fall through. Thanks!

CFE makes beautiful steering wheels, but carbon fiber is off my list since it doesn't flow with my interior. Regardless, I have messaged them to see if they can make one without carbon fiber. If they can, this may be perfect for what I'm looking for. Thanks!

I just confirmed CFE only makes wheels with portions of the wheel CF, as I suspected.

I had a quote but deleted it, :/ Was a few hundred less than the CF one. I wanted the CF one but wasn't willing to go more than $900. There's a few member's here that got theirs for $900

That steering wheel in your first post is absolutely gorgeous. I would be very interested if you found someone to make that. I also do not want any CF in my interior, so an all-leather, sculpted, flat-bottom wheel is very intriguing!

It reminds me of the wheel in my Golf R, which was the best steering wheel I've ever laid hands on.

That is probably the only thing I miss from my mkvi gti. That steering wheel had enough...girth 😐 and the flat bottom was were its at. I too would love a different steering wheel but I cannot see giving up all the functions on the wheel. Goo luck and keep us posted!

I did finally get a response from the guy on eBay who makes the carbon fiber wheel. He said he could do it for about $850 w/o carbon fiber. That's a bit more than I am looking to put into this particular mod. My top choice right now is a rewrap from Dallas Customs. This will allow me to add the extra cushioning and nicer leather, but no reshaping. This is becoming a more appealing option as the days go by... especially for about half the price...
