This listing is for a pair of VQ OEM style catalytic converters. These use ceramic cells. The threaded stud on the passenger side (cat to y-pipe connection) is slightly crooked and would need to be heated up and realigned or drilled out and a bolt used.
These cats are 100% brand new. No gaskets included.

I understand, but I am in an industry where I see sand turned into chips and products designed, built and then sold on the shelves of retailers we all know and love; almost everything you touch is likely made in China. Their tooling and manufacturing across machinery, textiles, electronics, etc. is world class. But yes, they create alot of janky knock offs as well since there is little control of intellectual property and the people making that crap see themselves as entrepreneurs, not thieves.
With that said, China owns the rare earth materials market (stuff that cats are made of) and produces more engineers in a year than we produce college grads, so why can't they just make a CARB compliant performance CAT and certify it for CA (40M+ people, good SAM)?
Of course I know the answer, but cannot explain here since the discussion will get political quick.
