AutoKits V1 2008-14 G37 Coupe Carbon Fiber Diffuser Philadelphia PA $275+S/H

Category: Exterior - Body Parts
Price: $275
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Location (State/Prov): PA
Item Condition: Used

For your consideration is a used (never installed, only test fitted) AutoKits V1 carbon fiber rear diffuser for the 2008-2014 G37 Coupe. Available for pickup in the Center City, Philadelphia PA area or shipped and insured via FedEx ground at the buyer's cost. Payment accepted via Paypal. I am thinking of trading up from my G37x so I figure I'll see if I can sell the diffuser; if not then I will just install it and enjoy it until I get my dream car. [Edit 8/24 - changed from UPS to Fed Ex. This was my mistake; my local dropoff location was UPS only but I just stopped by to get an estimate for a fellow MyG37 member and they have changed to FedEx only. My apologies in advance.]

I bought this piece new (direct from AutoKits) in 2018, and never installed it. While the diffuser has never been installed (the 3M tape from the factory is untouched), there were some scratches resulting from a test-fit (caused by the lower bolts securing my license plate holder) so it's not perfect. Also, the clear coat from AutoKits frankly was not in good shape (full of swirls) so I hand polished away most of the swirls and coated the carbon side with Optimum Opti-Coat 2.0 paint coating. I didn't polish down to a showroom finish but as you'll see the final finish is in much better shape than factory. As some of you may know, I am not a professional detailer but I do have the honor of being a graduate of the AutoGeek Detailing Boot Camp 2-day detailing class so I do have some skill. For those of you not familiar with Opti-Coat 2.0, it is a now-discontinued paint coating offered by Optimum and you can find more information about that product here at the AutoGeek Forums.

Anyway, on to the pictures. You will see that I have highlighted the scratched areas in red for easy visibility.

Original 3M tape from AutoKits untouched.

Before (left)/after (right) polishing. The stock clear coat had quite a bit of swirling but after some hand polishing with McKee's 37 Fast Compound and a microfiber pad it cleared up nicely. Item is not swirl-free but much better than before.

Please let me know if there are any questions. The item will ship (or be provided f2f) in the original shipping box from AutoKits. Thanks.
