Alutec Strut Bar

Category: Accessories
Price: $100
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: 2010+ G37 Sedan
Location (State/Prov): NC
Item Condition: Brand New

For Sale Alutec Strut Bar $100 shipped

Disclosure: Bought this bar from a forum member and it arrived quickly and in good condition. I installed it in my 13 G37x that is equipped with a K&N Black Hawk Intake. There was no clearance between the strut bar and the metal intake pipe. The zero clearance caused an unacceptable pick up of engine vibration, so I have removed it and placed it back into the market place. I would not recommend using the strut bar with this type of intake.

Thanks for looking Andrew

I'm trying to figure out if it will fit with my R2C intakes. If it'll fit I will take it.

EDIT: Fitment looks iffy for me. Haven't found anyone who's posted up R2C with this brace. Gonna pass for now.

C-G37...I would not think it would fit with the R2C intakes. I did a fairly extensive search of threads regarding the Alutec bar before purchasing and I did not find any threads addressing fitment with cold air intakes...oh - well

Just throw a washer or 2 under the mount before you bolt it down

I wouldn't try that.. there's not much thread to bolt onto as is, putting washers would make it very iffy IMO.

your right about the thread height and its a fine line between getting enough clearance away from the intake pipe and hood clearance, but washers don't cost much to try. The bar actually touched the intake and pick up a fairly severe vibration in the car so it will need some clearance. Thanks for the suggestion
