So I am seeing a few of these face plates becoming available for a 2008-2009, up to 2012, or for a coupe, but they all look exactly like mine. Does anyone know what they changed for the 2013 or would any of these other ones that look identical work as they just changed something in the wiring behind the face plate or something else that does not affect the aluminum face plate that I need?

There are differences between NAV and non-NAV panels. However, the trim piece easily comes off the preset switch panel. There are 10 screws that mount it to the panel. In effect you could order a new trim piece and swap it onto your existing panel.

So the years really should not matter then? That's good news. I am trying to find a clean used piece since the new one is about $250 at my employee cost?!? I saw one this morning that was for a 2013 sedan, but it was a lot rougher than the one I am trying to replace. And the search continues...

Have you considered filling, sanding, and then wrapping it black or some other color? There was one on here for $110 for awhile but you could fix it yourself for a fraction of that.

I'm not quite sure what you would need to fill and sand, but I have considered wrapping it if I could find something cool to do. I did a carbon fiber wrap on my Evo and it looked good inside of that car because the rest of the interior was so cheap, but I think a fake carbon fiber wrap would look cheap and too dark in the G37. Any ideas of a wrap that would look good? I thought of a pearl white to match the exterior, but that might be a bit much.

I also have an interior repair specialist who was supposed to stop into my work to see if there was anything he could do to repair the clear coat. I doubt it, but it's worth a shot.

i have often considered white for the same reason but also agree it would be too much. I think a standard black would be subtle and ok though.

I wrapped my interior in a 3m brushed black aluminum and I think it looks absolutely stunning

Kenny that is a cool texture, but still a bit too much black for me like the carbon fiber. I like how the silver trim breaks up the interior a bit.

I have one for sale! It's currently on my wife's 08 coupe, but her car needs the old Washi trim, but I found her the newer Shodo trim by mistake. I will take pics this weekend.

Awesome! Is the part brand new without wear or scratches?
