This one is SOLD SOLD SOLD guys. However, the guy who sold it to me originally actually has 2 black obsidian and 2 Malbec brand new never mounted IPL front bumpers with fog light inserts still FS. He has sold IPL BUMPERS to myself, Jeebus, and Truong now and we have all received beautiful bumpers just as pictured above. He has asked me if I would leave a FS post up for him. If the moderators have no problems with this then I am happy to do it.

FYI this $1250 price is firm but he MAY work with you on shipping.

I will gladly ship it anywhere a myG37 member needs it at buyers cost. Please include the 3% PayPal fees as well. Shipping rates from Greyhound are reasonable. For example this bumper was shipped via greyhound from TX to AR in 2.5 days for only $90. I shipped this IPL from AR to GA today for only $80 and that included the highest insurance value that greyhound would allow. that I give you my word this bumper is as clean as they come.

I'm actually taking a loss here guys. But since I'm gonna take the buyers $$ and spend it on the same bumper (used one with slight damages) for cheap it's gonna make up for it. Besides I don't mind passing on some savings to my G fam. Anybody who has a black ride needs to consider this strongly! When I opened it up to make sure it was good quality I started wishing I had bought a black vert.

 

Yeah, a Malbec Black front bumper on a Moonlight White car would be rice!!!

The shop was gonna have to sand n paint my busted bumper anyway so it didn't matter what color I found. But if I can get the QAA bumper cheaper and they only have to touch it up in 2 tiny spots then I'm golden. All the sudden I'll have $400 extra to buy yet anotha mod.

 

Just heard back from the seller I bought this from. He shipped it from Dallas, TX to North East Arkansas for only $90 via greyhound. This is your chance to get a great deal on an IPL guys.

Are you sure this is Malbec - cause the cost for Malbec is way higher than any other color.
search the sites - these are usually priced for base colors.

Whats the color code marked on the inside of the bumper - its always marked with a white or blue pen from the factory - usually in the middle on the backside obviously.

I bought one and they said it was malbec and it was obsidian it turned out, but I flipped it and doubled what I paid for it so good for me either way - but I do need a malbec bumper.
And Perfectly MINT condition at that.

Please inform or take a pic of the color code on the inside of the bumper for proof and that would help a lot of decisions too.

As I said I was told this was Malbec Black when I was getting the purchase nailed down. The seller actually told me that this was the Malbec Bkack and I should be thanking him for selling it to me for this price bc this color was actually one of the more expensive ones.

That being said I cannot say without a doubt that it is indeed Malbec Black. I will go up to my body shop and take photos the minute they open on Monday morning.

Assuming it is the color code you need would you be a buyer? I'm trying to ensure that I don't miss out on the QAA bumper that is FS. I almost bought it on my credit card but I don't wanna be left holding two IPL's without a buyers commitment. I'll get pics of the color code posted ASAP.

 

Man there really are a bunch of great people in the world. The seller of the QAA slightly damaged (two baby scratches) just agreed to act as if the bumper is sold to me until Monday by noon. So assuming the one I have turns out to be Malbec as advertised by myself now but by the OS, I'm good to go. That was really cool if him to help me out like that.

Anyway if anyone else is interested in a normal (non Malbec) black IPL plz post up.
Just for the record I have faith in the guy who sold me this bumper. So I'll be a bit surprised if it's not what he said it was. But if it turns out Malbec black I'm going to let Brian have 1st shot at it. FYI

Malbec looks black, except in bright direct sunlight, theres a red pearl/metallic that comes out. If its dark out, get a bright LED flashlight, and shine it on the bumper.
I would know, I was sold a black rear IPL bumper, when I went to a car meet, the morning sun hit my bumper, and it was Malbec, and I was so embarrassed!!

Malbec is a 3 stage paint, hence the higher price.


Your second pic shows some red around the light reflection, might be Malbec.
Lets hope so for you and your potential buyer!

 

Malbec color code is GAC- just an FYI to all
My Malbec black "real" IPL was the first 10 produced
By Infiniti the first year made and half of those
Were grey.

Having said that I know IPLs very well and the color
Of Malbec all too well.

TvPostSound (Patrick) is correct- it changes color.
It is a black pearl flip - meaning looks black
But when different lights hit it its maroon, deep reds,
And purple too. Hence the higher price on the paint
Being a peal flip multi stage paint.

And one Malbec came in scratched to hell - worse
Than the one I have - refunded.
And I bought a zele and it came in cracked- fedex covered
The claim and bumper was returned.

So I've had a serious fair share of bumper problems...
To say the least, but I know this color very very well.

I have many pieces custom Malbec on my car including
My grill, lower grill, headlights and tail lights and engine parts
All done in Malbec- so I know the color blind almost... Lol.

Anyway- so enough on that...
Just need to know GAC needs to be on
That bumper and I need the exact condition too.
Don't want any surprises- could have repainted 5
Times over and just should have honestly.

But I'm giving this a fair shot!!

GAC got it. Man I'm going straight to your build thread Tom am. Sounds amazing. I know this is my FS thread but I was wanting you to keep on listing Malbec mods lol

I promise you if my bumper isn't Malbec I can get you one that is new without any cracks or any of your other problems. But for now let's try to hope I have what I think I have
