It's best to get a custom box built for the specification of your sub, or a sub/box combo made by the manufacture of the sub

 

I posted this on another WTB 4080 box, check out these boxes. Just got mine in the mail yesterday and am waiting to put it in when weather clears up. I tested it to make sure it fit, and it fit perfectly in on the passenger side of the trunk.

if you can't find one check out these sub enclosures from customsubenclosures on ebay. Mine is shipping as we speak. The box is $250 but I believe it is well worth it. They will even make the box to the specs of the sub that you are putting in too. I got them down to $235 too so i guess thats a win.

I ordered mine last week and got it on Monday, i would definitely recommend the seller to anyone. They communicate very well and let you know what's going on.

 

How was the construction…. detail, and so forth..?

It is a very well built box, strong exterior and seems like it will last a long time. Here are some images of the box. I would put it in and take a picture but my brother is borrowing my car right now but I will put it in and take a picture when he gets home with it.

As you can see, very clean carpet install on the exterior and the curvature to fit into the car snug is very detailed. To make sure the box doesn't move around or anything I'm going to buy thick velcro like that velcro used on the manual holder. Here are the pictures.






Like i said, once he gets home ill put it in and show you how snug it fits. I myself was impressed with how well it fit in there. Sorry for the quality of the pictures, my iPhone is a little messed up.

Thanks, I love it. Just waiting for this weather to clear up to install it. Of course when I get it, the next 3 days its going to be raining so I'm SOL. I'm going to be running a 12' Alpine Type-R in there with a Kicker DX500.1 amp. I can't wait, i would have to wait anyways because I'm waiting for the LOC and Amp wire to come in from Amazon so its alright I guess.

My set up is all JL - 10w6v2, HD750/1 JL Amp, JL Anl Fuse Block and all JL wiring too - JL 4AWG power wire and JL Ground wire and JL Speaker wire too.

So All I need is a box too… and I am good.

I will see what those guys have to say on the enclosure.
