Pretty much any aftermarket driveshaft has two main benefits over stock. The first is that they are stiffer, which means they act less like a torsion bar and more like a rigid body. This reduces shock load to the differential and helps increase the rate at which force is transferred to the wheels. The second benefit is that aftermarket driveshafts are usually lighter than the OEM steel driveshaft, this means the engine has to work less to get it up and spinning, or to make changes in the rotational speed of the driveshaft. It all translates to a better acceleration, the physics agrees.

the vibration honestly wasn't bad. The TWM short shifter I had exaggerated it as that alone really stiffened up the shifter assembly. It's not uncommon to have to rotate the DS once or twice to match it with the transmission. I bet you wouldn't even notice without a short shifter.
