Rear MT Differential for 4.08s

Category: Drivetrain
Price: $1
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: 2010+ G37 Coupe, 2008-2009 G37 Coupe, Other Model G's
Location (State/Prov): ID
Item Condition: Used

While I wait for my 4.08 ring and pinion to show up I thought I'd use the time to locate a used rear diff. IIRC, I need a rear differential with VLSD from an 08-current G37 Coupe 6-speed. If anyone has one for sale or know where I can find one, let me know!

A 350Z or a 370Z MT diff will also do btw. Good luck.

Thanks, Sam. Now that I know one from a 350Z will also work I think I'll buy that since they're significantly cheaper than one from a 370/G37. Then I'll use the money I saved to replace the used guts with a new install kit.

Quick question: other than having to be a MT, are there any other requirements of the diff to work? Base or Sport model?

Your driveshaft flange has three bolts and a coupler, the MT diff will have a 4 bolt flange and no coupler. So you'll need a rear half of a G35 driveshaft with the 4 bolt flange for them to mate.

I should have mentioned I have a G37 with 6-speed MT and a GTM Aluminum Driveshaft. So any 350Z rear diff should bolt right up without any modifications, correct? I just wasnt sure if it mattered that the 350Z rear diff was from a base or sport model.

Before I drop a ton of money on it, I need expert help to find out if this 350Z rear diff will fit my 08 G37 Sport Coupe without any modifications. I'm going to be installing the 4.08 ring and pinion into the 350Z rear diff and using a GTM Aluminum Driveshaft.

Did you get an MT or an AT Driveshaft?
