Problems with this seller. Everything in quotes is verbatim from our PM exchange.

The seller indicated that these headphones were two months old in this thread. At first, he was very helpful, allowing me to change my shipping address upon receiving my paypal payment.

I was hoping to get these for a business trip, for which I was leaving early Friday morning, so I paid the weekend prior. The seller assured me that he would send them "priority" on Monday, and that I should receive the headphones in "3-4 days," "Thursday the latest", and "you should get it on time."

It turns out "priority" didn't mean USPS, but it was some other company called lor.com - which I was fine with, as long as I were to receive the item in time for my trip. Unfortunately, they did not come in time (in contrast to the seller's assurances that "They have crappy tracking[.] it takes two to four days so tommorrow [6/28] the latest"), and arrived the next Monday, while I was still away on my business trip.

I received the package from my apartment manager on Tuesday after returning from my business trip, and discovered that the headphones were actually a previous generation which stopped being manufactured in late 2012 (online forums indicate people were receiving the new models in January of 2013). The seller claims that he purchased these from a retailer 2 months ago, but since these are a popular line and brand, I highly doubt that they had the old models in inventory four/five months after the manufacturer started releasing the new models.

This is his response after I asked him to respond to my concerns (again, verbatim) -
1. "there good bro" doesn't help me or address my concerns.
2. I know these are $300 new. I chose to buy from the seller because he indicated they were 2 months old, and a forum member. I could easily buy the previous gen ones used, locally, for less than what I paid here.
3. I understand that the seller doesn't have control of the actual shipping times. However, he shouldn't give me repeated assurances (and examples) that they'll "arrive in time" then.

 

Buyers beware, this is the response I just received from the seller:

In response to the seller's statement:

• You went down $15 from your asking price. This is not nearly enough, given that you sent me previous generation headphones.
• I understand shipping can take longer, and that's not the main issue here. However, you did send me several assurances that it would arrive no later than Thursday.
• I was born and raised in the USA, where I learned proper spelling, grammar, and etiquette. I feel I have been cordial throughout this interaction, and have only stated facts. Thanks.

The drama continues. Seller is being abusive, and has left revenge negative feedback on my account, stating:

I'm not exactly sure what he means by "i did what he asked" - I'm assuming he means that he shipped it to the address I requested (my apartment). I paid promptly, and feel these attacks are unwarranted and inappropriate, so I'm requesting that any mods who see this thread, review and remove the negative feedback this guy left for me.

I never asked for a refund, and can't get one because I gift-paid through paypal (my mistake). This guy is being completely inappropriate with his racist and foul language, and is not a good reflection of our community. I see the seller has other classified postings, so buyers beware.

 

I am disgusted by this seller's continued abuse and immature language. I never asked for a refund and simply stated the facts of our transaction, so that we could inform and improve the knowledge in our forum community.

Your brazen statements, along with your racist, sexist, and elitist comments are wholly inappropriate. In the future, I hope you can learn how to communicate better with others, without having to resort to foul-language and finger-pointing.
