Stock cats

Category: Accessories
Price: $400
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: 2008-2009 G37 Coupe
Location (State/Prov): IL
Item Condition: Used

I have a set of stock cats from my 08' G37 coupe. I took them off within the first year of owing the car, so they have less than 10k miles on them. I'm cleaning out my car parts closet so these have to go. I can send these to a recycle facility who will pay over $300 for the set but I'd like to help someone out here who needs them if I can, but please no lowball offers. Pictures available upon request.

Why would I sell them for less than I could get if I were to recycle them??? If someone needs to go back to stock, that means stock parts not cheaper aftermarket parts. Although HFC's are superior, you also need a good catback to handle them, which the stock system cannot. Berk's will end up blowing out the baffles in the stock muffler.

Why would you criticize or knock his asking price!? If that's what his asking/starting price is, that's his choice. OEM cats are actually worth that... Even used.

GLWS OP!

Just FYI our cats are stainless not platinum scrap yard will give you $55 at most. I did sell mine on here for $250 and they are $550 each new but good luck at that price, will just take the right buyer. Probably someone returning a lease or a Cali guy trying to pass inspection, not impossible I suppose just go an take lots of patients.

Man, I'm sorry you only got $55 bucks for yours, I've already received a quote from a recycler that specializes in cats for $160 a piece. I'm guessing the place you took yours to had to sell them to an actual recycler so they only gave you $55 Bc they need to make $$ too. Also, all catalytic converters have rare precious metals in them. The stainless they must have told you about is simply the body of the cat, not the core which is the valuable part. Without those metals, the chemical reaction needed to convert the gasses would not take place.
