Carbon Fiber lip for trunklid - Replaces OEM Chrome strip w/ camera hole

Category: Exterior - Body Parts
Price: $200
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: 2008-2009 G37 Coupe
Location (State/Prov): VA
Item Condition: Brand New

This is a custom carbon fiber spoiler/trunklid lip to replace that ugly chrome piece. I actually worked with a a guy that does carbon fiber wrapping to develop this product for my 08 G37s coupe. Sent him my stock chrome lip and he molded or wrapped carbon fiber around it. I think this was the "dry" carbon fiber process if that makes sense?

So it's the actual chrome piece underneath with carbon fiber on top. Check out the pics. He made a couple of these piece, one was on my car but i sold that so am parting out. The piece for sale is brand new.

If interested there are two other version that are actually entirely made out of carbon fiber from a mold of the OEM chrome piece. If anyone is interested in those, let me know. One of them is missing a mount as shown in the pics, i'll throw that spoiler in free if anyone wants to tinker.

Local pickup anyone? Otherwise we can talk shipping. Shouldn't be too bad.

Thanks! I don't work near there but i did trade the G in that area. I saw them selling it on their dealer website, i wonder if it's still in the area.

I left on one of my carbon fiber spoiler/lip when i traded it... seriously regretting that now since it looks like it could have gone to some people here that would appreciate it. Will respond to PMs.

oh hey hi, sorry about that.

might be selling one to the first local person that PM'd me. We will see tomorrow. The with the chrome underneath fits for sure as it's the OEM peice with CF over it. The other two i never had a chance to test fit but they were made from the mold.

I would prefer to sell those to someone local, so in case they dont fit i can refund the money. Let's see what happens tomorrow and which one the person is interested in.

If i still have the molded ones left, and someone not local still wants to try them out we can work something out.

does the mold have a camera hole as well (and the bracket thing to hold it up)?
my understanding of the mold is that it doesnt require the oem chrome to be there, correct?

OK guys, I've had a lot of PMs so let me just post an update here:

I have two of these left, both are the molded versions (fully replaces the OEM chrome - has camera hole). The mounting points on the mold do match up with OEM chrome. You just take the mounting hardware, like bolts (8mm I think) from OEM to use with the molded.

What I'll do is $130 shipped to any of the 48 states for the good molded version, and $60 shipped for the version missing a bracket for anyone that wants to tinker and see if it actually matters or can secure that somehow.

So anyone who wants to take either of these, let me know.
