Scando 800 for adding Carpc to OEM screen

Category: Audio/Video/Electronics
Price: $200
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: 2008-2009 G37 Coupe, 2008-2009 G37 Sedan
Location (State/Prov): CA
Item Condition: Used

I'm selling my Scando 800 along with the custom harness. This box allows you to add a carpc to the factory screen. This allows you to use RGB instead of RCA video, which means the screen resolution is a lot better.

I'm including a plug and play harness with a relay, that cost me 200 alone. This means you do not cut any factory wires. It is plug and play. You just need to wire the relay to a switch, to change from navi and computer.

This will work with all 2007-2009 2nd generation G35 and G37.

You can find out my setup using this unit here:

$200 SHIPPED to your door.

Nothin wrong with it. I upgraded my navi to the 2010 version so this does not work anymore. This unit allows you to add a carpc to the factory screen. The carpc is not included. You need to supply your own computer. I'm leaving for new York this Saturday, so I can't really help you install. Installation is easy. You plug in VGA cable into this box, and plug the included harness to the screen.

I know its been awhile, but you wouldn't happen to remember or have a wiring diagram on how you wired the custom harness for your scando 800, would you?

I know you utilized the wiring harness from the navtool, an RGB cord, and a 4pdt switch relay. I would just like to know how all of that was wired up specifically.

I've got pretty much the entire project done except for this and would love to finish it up.

I appreciate all the help you can give!

I saw your PM and have been meaning to respond. I think this is the pinout i used for scando:

_____________
\ 5 4 3 2 1 /
\_9_8_7_6_/

-Pin- -RGB TTL- -RGB Analogue-
1 Ground Ground
2 Ground Ground
3 Red Red
4 Green Green
5 Blue Blue
6 Intensity Fast Blanking
7 Not used Composite Sync
8 H. Sync H. Sync
9 V. Sync V. Sync

You would need to match that with the screen wiring diagram from the factory service manual.

Another question.... which wires do you connect to the terminals on the Relay.

I have all the wires stripped and ready, but I am stuck on the arrangement of the 4 posts. How exactly did you wire all those to the relay itself?

Thanks!
