Cue high school parking lot / take-over comments : )
So glad to see owners getting together and treating their G's with respect. Hopefully they are driven with that same respect and break the bad rep we are getting.
@projectpanda13 , maybe your next shop-meet could include a kill switch install seminar : )
I'm not super old (37), but most of the G37 owners I hang out with now are a good bit younger, ranging from 18 to 30. So the high school parking lot was perfect timing, lol.
They are a good group who don't associate with take-overs, but they do get a little too happy with the flame maps.
Since I've had my car much longer than any of them, I advise and help with what I am capable with. I just met the M3 owner and he owns a shop, so having him there to him with some of the installs and teach the process was a big help.
This is genuinely such a great idea and good for you on executing. I have dreamt about doing something similar to this in my neighborhood but unfortunately the takeover crowd has made it miserable for everyone. Its so bad that the local cars and coffee as well as the sunday car shows want nothing to do with G's and Z's. Its so sad... Maybe one day after the youngin's move on to another platform that our platform can loose the stigma. I imagine this is what it felt like in the late 90's and early 2000's being a honda owner...
Helped a few friends out with various things on Saturday, 9/6.
Grey sedan came for brakes
Black sedan came for suspension and steering noise
Blue Slate came to buy my hood
You have the entire country beat when it comes to those bloody things... Saw more Tesla's in the 4 days I was there than I have ever seen here on the east coast.
Then again, as discussed in another thread, I have to yet to see a single "400Z" in the flesh so...
