Did you paint the inside of the lights? That's pretty much the look I'm headed towards, maybe with a splitter. Roads around here though are not aero friendly.

Yea. You won't be able to feel your fingers for a few days but the result is awesome.

Just prying the lens open is very annoying and trying to loosen the silicone will hurt

Gotcha. When I opened up my RX8 headlights, I looked up the plasticization temp of the polycarbonate and dialed the oven back from that - I think 240 degrees was what I used. Lenses came off pretty easily. Heated them back up before putting back together, and had no problems with them re-sealing. But I did wear gloves
