Take it from me, save for the 1.4 instead. Much faster focusing with the USM and better build quality. Not only that, the FULL TIME manual focus ring is much easier to use compared to the almost non-existant 1.8. Don't get me wrong I had the 1.8 for a while and loved it. But after testing the 1.4 I just had to get it. The contrast is much better IMO.

 

the drop is in the works, part of me wants to buy springs and be done cheap but the other part of me is saying do it right and get coil-overs with a dampner

 

Theyre actually right. I wish i went with coils myself.

 

the 1.8 is an amazing bargain especially if you find it under $100.

 

Great camera great car. I agree with the advice on both the lenses and car, lol. Get the 1.4.
