Internet said i need to lower my car, so i did..
So you followed the herd as they walk of the cliff? Maybe think for yourself? Sounds like your working on your tires/wheels too with spacers... maybe have someone else do the math.
^^^ I hope that is just sarcasm cuz it actually sounds pretty harsh. I get that Stevenaus was joking about the title of the damn thread. I thihnk his car looks pimp and really...so what if he did follow the heard? With the end result he achieved is that such a bad thing? Lighten up dude

Sorry if that sounded harsh - my apologies - it was sarcasam. I have a real disconnect with the way and types of cars the younger generations work on and mod. I've been getting my hands dirty working on cars for over 35 years - and while there are some things i have softened on - there are certain cardinal rules of my generation that i just dont break.
Again, sorry if that was harsh.
Looks great!
Graphite Shadow, right?
Always nice to see another coupe with the same front end as mine after it's been dropped and without a IPL or other body kit options applied.
Here's my 'girl'
modest swift and koni yellow drop though. Dealing with coilovers on a daily driver that does see salt/snow during the winter is never a fun undertaking by the second or third winter.

So looking pimp is a GOOD thing? I have to brush up on my 21st century descripters. Back when nobody would have thought of modding a four door - pimping a car was NOT a good thing. OP return your car back to stock immediately you rebelling youngster.
There's three camps of people on the site for the most part w/ some drifting in between,
1)You've got those that like the G just the way it is, possibly adding better OEM stuff or very minor additions like tint, or better tires.
2)Those that want to do overall mods to the vehicle such as suspension & cosmetic mods and are always looking for ways to make the G "unique to them" or at least different from the majority.
3)Those that leave no stone unturned and go big budget &/or radical changes to the car in appearance & performance
I have no problem w/ whatever camp you're in and as far as the "look of the younger crowd", I'm 52 and my lowered & blacked-out 4 door G is just the way I like it

my Golf Mk6 done the math and concept by myself.. not a typical wheel also for the golf..

although i still appreciate you comment here..

Now, it doesn't seem like there are any universally excepted rules. I could have bought a four door Impala, Nova, Chevelle, Torino, GTO, Lemans, etc. anytime i wanted back then, and they were cheap. But i waited and saved and worked and saved until i could afford a 2 door Monte Carlo.
The OP welcomed comments and when i hear his car can't get down a street without scraping the ground... well - i should have expressed it better but, my opinion is still the same.
I didn't see it was a joke until later on. But I have seen lots of "you should lower your car" comments to photo posters from all over the world. To me that's no different than saying you shouldn't have lowered your car to someone who did.
You would think OP is laying frame with how this thread is goin lol.
Anyways third pic looked at first to have some kinda greenish underglow thing goin and I almost had to retract my "tastefully modded" remark haha
