Here's a pic of the valance I wrapped, and I always use 3m 1080, seems to be the way to go.
blnewt, thanks a ton! I am going to give this a shot this weekend. I would like to lower the tips a bit and try to keep them there. My passenger side one is very close to the bumper.

warped, if you ever up this way again shoot me a PM, I will gladly show you what we have done. The good thing with my wife is she has helped me tremendously along the way.

Healights are awesome! Excellent choice for the wrap, everything looks super clean and very very nice ! well done!
G37some, Here is a closeup of the black metallic vinyl, it is somewhat difficult to get a really good photo of it.

Goonz, they actually aren't 'projector' fog lights, although the box stated it as such. These were an idea that was in pcasey's IPL bumper thread. The foglights actually are for a Nissan Sentra.

Cheers!

blnewt, pardon the dust and dirt, it's time for a thorough cleaning.

Domate, I'll hit you up next time I am in town. My wife works in Durham so I come up every few months to check up on our place up there. By the way, have you ever ate at 18 Seaboard? If not, check it out, they have great food.... Man, the more pics you post the more I'm really liking your ride!

Awesome! I'm going to look into wrapping my own pulls now. An idea came to me while looking at your engine bay, have you thought about wrapping the engine dust cover? Or is that a dumb idea? I don't know but if it can survive the heat I think it would look cool too.

Hey warped ideas,

I haven't visited 18 Seaboard, but man have I heard good things about it. Very nice food and atmosphere is what everyone says. I am in Cary, so about 20 minutes away from Durham, let me know when you are up this way again. Thanks for the compliment warped!

Cheers!

cecrops,

Put the crystal ball down and take a step back ..please!

We did some research on this and can't find a definite answer. My wife and I have discussed this over and over and outside of a forum post on a camaro forum where a guy was asking, I'm not so sure the vinyl can withstand the heat under the hood, especially during the summer. I so want to do this, but unless 3M can ensure it is safe to do, I will wait.

Cheers!

Thanks for all the updated pics, I think I really need to change your title to "significant" reveal, the insignificant thing isn't flying
Calipers look superb, as do all the other closeups of your work. Nice to have such a good resource for some future projects I have in mind
As far as vinyl in the engine bay, I wrapped my Mt Fuji logo on the engine cover about a year ago and it's still as good as day one, but that's a pretty small sample. Vinyl's is pretty tough, if you think about it a black hood or roof wrap in vinyl will get very hot just sitting in a parking lot, probably close to the air temps under the hood.

Don't wrap that engine cover. Hydroprint it. I found a guy who would do all the plastics in my engine bay for $400. I was thinking digi artic camo with white intake tubes! I just couldn't justify the cost when I was about to tune the car.

I may end up having a few firearms dipped instead..... I'm thinking flames and flaming skulls on my Glock. LOL

LOL G37Some, the car might just be more headache than what it's worth.

The car looks great!

I am interested in a couple things.
  • What is your fender to ground height with those H&R springs?
  • What are the offsets/widths of your wheels?
  • What is your F+R camber set at?

Thanks!
